Camberley's New Community Leisure Centre Gets Green Light
Planning permission has been agreed for the new multi-million-pound community leisure facility in heart of Camberley.
The proposed works comprise of the construction of a modern community leisure venue which is planned to open in Summer 2021. The Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council Councillor Richard Brooks, comments, “As part of Surrey Heath Borough Council’s long-term strategy for health and wellbeing, we have been working with Places Leisure and their partners to ensure that the new centre builds on the legacy of the Arena Leisure Centre. We’re delighted with the progress made on site so far and are looking forward to a new facility which improves opportunities for all members of the community to participate and enjoy a more active and healthier lifestyle.”

The new centre will feature a 150 station Fitness Suite, 25 metre 6-lane Pool, Learner Pool with adjustable floor, Splash Zone (interactive water confidence area), 8 Court Sports Hall, Group Exercise Studios, Health Suite, a vibrant Clip ‘n Climb climbing arena and Café. A fun purpose-built Adventure Play incorporating sensory play, obstacles and a range of tunnels and slides will also form part of the plans for the centre.
