Places Leisure awarded
'Top Performing Organisation 2019'
Places Leisure has been awarded ‘Top Performing Organisation with 31+ Quest registered facilities 2019’ for the fifth consecutive year as we continue to deliver our mission of ‘creating active places and healthy people’.
Quest, the Sport England funded improvement tool, challenges even the very best leisure centres within the UK, with this recognition being the highest level of award that organisations can achieve. Part of this award relates to the Stretch for Active Communities that consisted of an initial assessment where Places Leisure were judged within several core modules written by Sport England and the Quest Industry Board.

Sandra Dodd, CEO at Places Leisure comments, “Places Leisure are proud to be the winner of Quest Top Performing Organisation 2019. We have a culture of delivering high quality service that has been recognised by the Sport England sponsored Quest scheme five years in succession. It demonstrates how our service has been recognised both by independent industry experts as well as the local communities we serve. The spirit of our 8,500 colleagues makes a difference and they are the catalyst for continuous improvement; moving the inactive to active and enabling people to smile their way to a healthier and more active lifestyle. They are our community placemakers who create vibrant and inspirational places that burst with activity and offer something for everyone, whatever place they’re into.”
