Our state-of-the-art, £22 million leisure centre is designed to be your new home away from home – your local activity and fitness hub, with an exceptional range of activities, thoughtfully developed and strategically designed to accommodate all age groups and abilities. We can’t wait to open our doors for you!

We have received an unprecedented amount of interest in our reopening and know that many of you have lots of questions that need to be answered! We want to help each and every one of you. We have tried to answer many of your questions below. Be sure to check back frequently for regular updates.

About the centre

When will Places Leisure Camberley open?

The new site is scheduled to be opened on Thursday 1st July.

What is the address of the Centre?

Places Leisure Camberley, Grand Avenue, Camberley, GU15 3QH

What are the centre's opening hours?

Our centre opening hours will be:

  • Monday to Friday 6.00am-10.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 7.00am-8.00pm
  • Bank Holidays 7.00am-8.00pm

Does the centre have parking?

Yes, we you will be able to park for a maximum of 3 hours for free.   Customers will be asked to sign in on a digital kiosk and their vehicle registration within 20 minutes of their arrival.  We have space for over 300 vehicles, plus 4 ports for electric cars.

In addition, we have 30 covered spaces for bikes along with a cycle repair station.

Do you have a drop off point?

Yes, we have a drop off zone located at the front of the building. Please be aware that there is a 20 minute time limit for this zone.

I don't drive, is there a bus route?

There is a bus stop just outside the leisure centre, Stagecoach is the main operator for this area, please visit their website for the most up to date timetable.

Swimming

Will there be swimming lessons at the new centre?

How much do you charge for children’s swimming?

We know that it is essential for children to have regular swimming sessions, as this helps children to become confident and familiar with water, especially when they are swimming with a parent or family members. Being in the water with someone they trust shows them that swimming is safe and fun! We are pleased to offer free swimming to all children, aged 4 years and under.

Please be aware that all Premium Memberships include up to 4 Junior Memberships at no extra cost – with swimming included!

I have limited mobility; how do I access the pool?

We have a number of options for you to access the pool in the way that is best for you. Options include:

  • Pool hoists
  • Easy access steps
  • Accessible pool lift

What is a splash pad?

Our splash pad is a designated area of the pool hall, created as a fantasy, castle themed water playground, where toddlers and younger children can enjoy hours of fun. It’s a wonderful introduction to the joys of water in a safe environment. The area includes water features such as ground nozzles, raindecks, spray jets, water umbrellas, water blasters.

Do I need a pound coin for my locker?

All lockers will require padlocks. These will be available to purchase at Reception for a cost of £5 (yours to keep). Alternatively, please feel free to bring your own robust padlock from home, we would suggest a combination lock.

Health Suite

What does the Health Suite include?

Our state-of-the-art health suite includes:

  • Sauna
  • Steam room
  • Citrus steam room
  • Salt room
  • Heated loungers
  • Day beds

Do I get the Health Suite as part of my membership?

All Premium Plus members will have the Health Suite included in their membership. We also offer a Health Suite-only membership along with pay-as-you-go access. For membership prices, please click here.

Do I have to be a member to use The Health Suite?

The Health Suite will be available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Where is the Health Suite located?

The Health Suite is located on the first floor and has its own dedicated changing rooms and lockers. All lockers will require padlocks. These will be available to purchase at Reception for a cost of £5 (yours to keep). Alternatively, please feel free to bring your own robust padlock from home, we would suggest a combination lock.

What are the opening hours of the Health Suite?

Monday - Friday: 6.30am - 10.00pm

Weekends: 7.30am - 8.00pm
