Re-opening update

Thank you for bearing with us over the last few months. We’re really pleased to say that some Places Leisure centres in Wiltshire are beginning to re-open following the ‘green light’ from the Government recently. Unfortunately, Trowbridge Sports Centre can’t open just yet.

As you will be aware, we closed temporarily on 23rd December 2019 following structural examinations exposing the need for essential remedial work, followed by the national closure of all leisure centres on 20th March 2020. As leisure centres begin to re-open in Wiltshire, we are supporting the council and the contractor to get the works underway. It is anticipated that they will be completed at the end of the year, and until then the centre, including the pool, halls and squash courts will remain closed. We will communicate any updates along the way.

We know that a large number of our Premium and swimming members will want to make use of their memberships at other centres while we remain closed. We will therefore be automatically upgrading you to an All Places membership and re-activating direct debits shortly to allow you to do this*. Please look out for communications from our payments partner, Harlands, telling you when your first payment will be and how much. If you or your child has swimming, diving or trampolining lessons with us, please be assured that your payments will remain frozen during the continued closure. However, if you have transferred your lessons to another of our local centres, this transfer will have been processed and you will be able to re-start lessons in line with their programme.

*The upgrade to All Places membership is free of charge, and applied from 10th August 2020 until Trowbridge Sports Centre opens. You will be upgraded to the equivalent Premium, Gym or Swim All Places membership. Membership prices do not change.
