Football is enjoyed all over the world and at any age from young children to older adults. It's a great way to let off steam, learn new tricks and enjoy being part of a team.
Is a football pitch the place for you?
It's a good workout and improves your overall fitness, co-ordination and stamina. You can enjoy a game with your friends, join a league or learn to play and improve your ability and skills by joining one of our courses.
Football at John Hampden School
Our Synthetic Turf Pitch (STP) is located within the grounds of John Hampden Grammar School, just across the road from the leisure centre. It is a second generation sand dressed pitch which is ideal for football and hockey.
It comprises of 3 x 7-a-side football pitches or 1 x 11 a-side football/hockey pitch, timed flood lighting system, shower and changing facilities, limited car parking and a staffed administration office.
Opening Times
Monday - Friday 6pm - 10pm (during term times)
Weekends and bank holidays 10am - 8pm
School Holidays 9am - 10pm

Places Locker is our app for all things active. You earn MOVES for all the activity that you complete each week, build training programmes and book a pitch. Did you know a one hour football game could earn you 1,417 MOVES.
