Have fun and learn new tricks!

We all know that learning to swim is important. But did you know that it also helps build confidence and develops social skills?

Swimming can also be alot of fun! So we've teamed up with our friends at Zoggs to bring you some top tips on how to ensure that you and your little ones always have fun in the water!

Make it familiar...

For babies, getting in the water is a new and sometimes daunting experience. Make them feel safe and happy so you can build a relationship between you, your baby and the water. Try singing songs, blowing bubbles and reassuring them through lots of smiles, splashing and laughter. They will soon be joining in with you!

Zoggs trainer seats are a great way to safely introduce your baby to the pool environment. They are designed to help you and baby enjoy the water together and unlike arm bands or swim rings, your child will be securely supported. We stock a range of sizes and colours – just ask at reception next time you visit us!

Fun and games...

Children learn more effectively through play so make everything into a game to keep their interest. The more fun they have the more they will enjoy their time in the water and the quicker they’ll start to develop their technique. You’ll also have more fun with them too!

Zoggs Water Wings vests are a great way to help build water confidence. These cute little vests provide buoyancy in the right places and support your little swimmer to start becoming more independent in the pool. Available in a variety of sizes and colours, check them out next time you are in for a swim.

Encourage competition...

Introduce competition in a fun way so that you can keep your little ones motivated and active. Using dive sticks and other water confidence toys to play games is a great way to have fun whilst building confidence, and encouraging competent swimmers to dive under the water, either individually or with others.Check out our Zoggs dive sticks and other water confidence toys next time you visit us.
